A serious car accident in Wyoming County has sent one man to the hospital in critical condition.

On Monday, 62-year-old Richard Kosha was riding in a car on Route 20 in Varysburg. Another driver, 24-year-old Jacob Staskiewicz of Batavia, was on Maxon Road, and allegedly failed to stop his tow truck at the intersection with Route 20. He struck the oncoming vehicle.

The 62-year-old Kosha suffered serious head trauma and was Mercy Flighted to ECMC in critical condition.
Two other people in that vehicle were treated for minor injuries.

Staskiewicz was not injured. He is charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
