The entire Department of Public Works was deployed to take care of the snow and a sewer line blockage in recent days. City Manager Jason Molino says conditions like this were expected and that the DPW “did a great job responding to everything.”
The biggest concern now is unpredictable flooding along with rain expected next week. Molino and the DPW are monitoring the weather as well as rising creeks. Their concerns have also shifted from plowing the snow off streets to getting rid of it.
DPW workers earn overtime for their work in the snow but it is too early in the season to tell how the city’s budget will be effected.
