A 46-year-old Albion man is behind bars this morning after Genesee County Sheriff's Deputies discovered him on parole, in Oakfield, and outside his county of jurisdiction.
Joseph Julyan is charged with Attempted Assault and Criminal Mischief. Deputies allege that Julyan pushed, grabbed, and twisted another person's shoulder and arms, causing physical pain to that individual. Then deputies say he broke that person's property.
When the victim tried to call police, Julyan allegedly took away the cell phone. Deputies did respond to the scene and found Julyan drinking. He's been jailed on $10,000 bail.
New York State Parole was contacted and also issued a warrant for Julyan.
