Construction cones were placed on Monday to mark the start of a $1.3 million project to resurface Route 63 (Ellicott St.) in Batavia.
The work includes milling and resurfacing the pavement and painting new lines to reduce the number of traffic lanes from 4 to 3. The State DOT says the work will create additional on street parking and also provide for a bicycle lane.
The project is scheduled to be completed by November.
