There are still some seats left for Patriot Trip III.
That’s the Washington DC excursion for veterans organized by State Assemblyman Steve Hawley.
"We do have about 22 seats left, 104 people are going. The price is very reasonanle. This year we are staying at Fort Belvoir Army Base. The first two Patriot Trips we stayed at Quantico Marine Base."
This year’s trip will leave Batavia on Thursday, September 23rd and return Sunday, September 26th.
The tour includes stops at various memorials in Washington including the World War 2 Memorial and the Vietnam Wal
"We are working to get Sen. John McCain, a decorated Vietnam Veteran, to come to the Vietnam Wall to greet us. We do not yet have confirmation on that. Lastr year, former Senator Bob Dole met us at the World War II Momument and spent about 90 minutes with our veterans."
Cost of the trip is $325 per person which includes accomodations and most meals.
If you are interested in occupying one of the remaining seats on Hawley’s Patriot Trip to Washington, call the Assemblyman’s Office at (585) 589-5780.
