A pick-up truck and a NYS Thruway construction vehicle collided on Rt. 98 just south of Saile Drive this afternoon.
The driver of the pick-up was taken to the hospital via Mercy Flight. The driver of the Thruway vehicle was not injured.
State Police said the pick-up was southbound on Rt. 98 around 2p.m. this afternoon and for an unknown reason, the driver drifted into the opposite lane, and struck the northbound Thruway vehicle.
The pick-up continued south on Rt 98 and ran off the highway. Volunteers from the Town of Batavia Fire Dept extracated the driver. His name and condition were not available.
