The Seattle bound Flight 17 departed from Neward New Jersey this morning and made an unexpected stop at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The emergency landing was reportedly due to a small trash can fire in the galley of the plane. Investigation reports the fire was caused by an overheated credit card reader that had been thrown away in the garbage can.
There were no injuries reported out of the 189 people aboard the flight.
