A single engine aircraft crashed while practicing “touch and go” landings at the Genesee County Airport just after Noon yesterday.
No one was hurt.
A trainer, 66-year-old Michael Pearson of Pittsford and 35-year-old Robert Roberts of Rochester were piloting the aircraft.
Deputies said it appeared the pilots neglected to put the landing gear down.
The 2004 Cessna impacted the runway and skidded more than 500 feet.
There was no fire or fuel leakage.
Damage to the airplane was estimated at 40-thousand dollars.
The county airport was closed for about an hour.
