From a Batavia city park to a Town of Batavia parking lot, it is another case of an outdoor tryst in broad daylight.
An Alexander couple has been arrested for allegedly having sex in a parking lot along Veteran’s Memorial Drive in the middle of the afternoon.
Kelly Anne Brown and Karl James Hulshoff, both 34 and both of Broadway Road, Alexander, were arrested Saturday afternoon and charged with Public Lewdness.
Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies said the two were engaged in sexual conduct while in their car.
Both were released on appearance tickets.
A Batavia couple arrested for endangering the welfare of their children.
28-year-old Jon Smith and his 25-year-old wife, Sylvia, were charged after police say their children were living in substandard conditions in their home at 5 Prune St.
The two have been released on their own recognizance.
UPDATE: 1:30pm - Batavia Police said the case has been refered to Child Protective Services and "a plan is in place" for the children.

44-year-old Diane Hatter was arrested on a warrant from the Dansville Town Court. She was later freed on her own recognizance.

Rochester police continue investigating a shooting which left one man with minor injuries and bullet holes to a firehouse. Authorities say the bullets were flying at about six PM last night at the intersection of North Clinton and Kohlman Street. Police say the victim was shot in the leg and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Investigators say the nearby firehouse had two gunshot holes in the garage door but no firefighters were hurt. Police are looking for two suspects who fled the scene.
