A Batavia mother has pleaded guilty to attempting to smother her infant daughter at Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Marcia Mitchell, 29, is accused of putting a pillow over her seven-month-old’s face back in 2008, when the little girl was receiving treatment at the Buffalo hospital.
Today, through tears, Mitchel could only say the word “guilty” as she fought through tears in a Buffalo courtroom.
Mitchel has already been in jail on other charges, where she has tried to kill herself several times.
Sentencing is scheduled for next month.
