Right now there is no law preventing Transportation Safety Administration workers from going public with scanner images taken at airports.
The TSA is supposed to delete the images shortly after the body scanners are used. The scanners were recently installed at airports nationwide. Many groups including the American Civil Liberties Union have argued the machines are too invasive.
Work is wrapping up on the multi-million dollar expansion of United Memorial Medical Center.
This morning the contractor will be testing the hospital’s new sprinkler system. It uses so much water it could cause a discoloration of water in homes nearby the hospital.
If you live near the hospital, you may want to put off doing your laundry until the test is over.
