A prominent Rochester attorney has been cuffed here in Batavia – for causing a disturbance at a basketball game.
State Police report 72-year-old John Parrinello of Rochester was arrested at GCC on Sunday afternoon after refusing to leave a men’s basketball game.
Apparently, Parrinello was using vulgar language and being disruptive. When college officials asked him to leave, Parrinello refused. Then State Police arrived and told Parrinello to leave the premises. He refused again, until threatened with arrest. At that time Parrinello did leave – but according to the State Police news release, “he refused to leave in the direction that the trooper was requesting.” Parrinello was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass. He’s now due back in Batavia Town Court next Monday.
John Parrinello is well-known in the Rochester area for his legal work defending members of the embattled Greece Police Department.
