Governor David Paterson has been fined more than 62-thousand dollars for receiving tickets to Game One of the 2009 World Series at Yankee Stadium. That was the punishment handed down by the state's Commission on Public Integrity. The panel says Paterson's testimony that he always intended to pay for the five tickets was refuted by his staff, the Yankees, an independent handwriting expert and "common sense." The Commission says the governor's false testimony is evidence he knew his conduct was unlawful.
