Spring officially arrived at 6:29 this morning and with it, hopes that the worst of the cold and snow are over.
Forecasters say that today should be sunny with temperatures reaching mid 40s in Genesee County. 
The thermometer is expected to dip a bit later this week only to be followed by more than a week of highs in the 40s and 50s.

The forecast calls for more rain inside Batavia’s City Centre Mall.
The roof over the mall concourse continues to leak even as the city has announced its agreement to fix it.
A significant leak developed late Friday. Temporary repairs were made.
Three weeks ago the city council approved a settlement with the Mall Merchants Association. That settlement calls for the city to spend $160,000 to repair the roof.
The merchants also have to approve the settlement, they have yet to consider it.

A Brockport woman is under arrest after she allegedly struck a pedestrian on Route 33 in Stafford and told lawmen another driver had done it.
23 year old Katelyn Brown of Brockport told deputies upon seeing the pedestrian get hit she became scared and struck a utility pole.
Deputies said it was later determined Brown was the one driving the car that hit the pedestrian.
Brown was charged with several traffic violations including driving without a license.
The pedestrian, who was thrown into a ditch by the impact, was taken to U of R Medical center. Injuries to the pedestrian were described as serious.

Courtney RobertsonAn Albion woman charged with a felony count of drunk driving.
39 year old Courtney Robertson was involved in a one car accident on Hamilton Street in Albion Friday night.
Officers say they determined Robertson was drunk when she struck a utility pole. They also said Robertson was drinking in her vehicle at the time of the accident.
Robertson’s six year old child was also in the vehicle.
No one was hurt in the accident.
Robertson is facing a felony charge under Leandra’s Law.


Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara could be the next big thing on cable news. 
"The New York Post" cites sources saying the fired Manhattan attorney could be angling for a gig on CNN or MSNBC. 
The source told the "Post" that Bharara is trying to be a liberal Bill O'Reilly.
