Sheriff’s Office release identity of fatal crash victim in Bethany.
The three-car motor vehicle crash that occurred on Route 63 near Fargo Road in the Town of Bethany was initially reported yesterday at 11:19 AM. 
According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office a silver 2011 Toyota sedan, driven by 67 year old Gerald Makin of Bradford New York, was northbound on Route 63.
The second vehicle involved, a 2013 Ford F- 150 pickup truck, driven by 50 year old Robert Moore Jr. from Elba was southbound on Route 63.
Makin's vehicle traveled over the center of the roadway striking Moore's vehicle in the southbound lane.
A third vehicle, an unoccupied 2007 Ford pickup truck, was parked on the west shoulder of Route 63 and was struck by the other Ford Truck after the initial collision.
Makin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger in the Sedan was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Moore and his passenger were both transported to United Memorial Medical Center.
The investigation remains on-going to determine why Makin failed to maintain his lane.

Former Hospital employee takes plea deal for stealing and selling medical equipment.
48 year old Kim Diamond, of Livingston County a former UMMC employee was found to be stealing medical equipment from the hospital and selling it on eBay.
Diamond was in Genesee County Court yesterday morning where she entered a guilty plea to a lesser count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree and agreed to pay $30,000 in restitution.
She was originally charged with Grand Larceny in the 2nd.
She has already paid back $10,000 and has scheduled payments of $344 per month, which will take her 5 years to pay off the remaining restitution according to District Attorney Lawrence Friedman.
She could receive anything from probation to 2 1/3 to seven years, when she's sentenced on Aug. 14th.

LeRoy Teen receives prison time and lengthy post release supervision for rape charge.
Leonard Hahn the fourth of LeRoy appeared in Genesee Count Court yesterday afternoon for sentencing on a single count of first degree Rape.
Last month Hahn took identical plea deals in Genesee and Wyoming County Courts for two separate rape cases.
Hahn admitted to raping children in Attica and the Town of Alabama.
Hahn was 17 at the time the offenses occurred and the victim in this case was reported to be between 6 and 7 years old.
He declined to make a presentence statement.
Judge Charles Zambito denied him Youthful Offender Status and he was sentenced to a determinate sentence of 10 years in prison to be followed by 20 years post release supervision.
He will also have to register as a sex offender.

An Oakfield woman arrested for drugs in Batavia traffic stop.
49 year old Deborah Rodriguez of Farnsworth Ave in Oakfield was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Holland Ave in the city.
She was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia while driving on a suspended driver’s license.
She is charged with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and was released with an appearance ticket for Batavia City Court on May 23rd.
